"If you have a voice within you say 'you cannot paint', then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced"
.... Vincent Van Gogh.

"Believing in Van Gogh's theory, I began to paint in oils over thirty years ago.  But, for many years I was
interrupted by a successful business career, raising a family and always being supported by my wonderful
husband, Frank.  When I began in oils, I painted the emotions of the seascapes, the peacefulness of the
marshes and the beauty and elegance of the many low country landscapes.

In recent years, returning to the Low Country to hear that small voice once again say 'paint', I began in a new
medium and transitioned to watercolors. I have been mostly self-taught; however, over the years and during
the transition period, I have been taught by many talented and generous artists who shared their individual
and collective knowledge and talents with me and have inspired me to continue on my journey to 'paint'!

My paintings have garnered awards and inspired ownership by public, private and corporate collectors."
